Teaching With Interactive WhiteBoards
Interactive White Boards (IWB's)
are being added to classrooms all across the country. An IWB adds
a new level of interactivity to ordinary classroom lessons by turning
a plain projected image into something that students can interact with,
manipulate, and control in a large group setting. IWB's essentially
turn a white board surface into a giant touch screen controller for
a computer, allowing students to control a piece of software by pointing
at and touching the image rather than by moving a mouse.

On March 4, 2008, NBC Nightly News ran a segment titled Better Minds Through Music. The story was a kind of follow-up to the whole Mozart Effect controversy. At issue in the report was the question as to whether or not being involved in music has a real, measurable effect on student abilities in other areas of academics.
