Rarely do I give five stars to almost every aspect of a product, but the Tascam BB-1000CD is quite simply the easiest and most intuitive portable audio recording device that I have ever used. The only knockdown on the score for this product was a 4 for ease of install, simply because the BB-1000CD does not ship with any included recording media. For the high price tag one would think that the recorder should be shipped with at the very least a blank CD-R disc.

Recordings made with the BB-1000CD are clear and crisp, and playback is beautiful on the units large built in speakers. The control dials on the top are all clearly marked and easy to understand even without reading the manual. In terms of ease of control over the playback of a recording this unit is definitely one of the best when compared to other similar desktop size audio recording devices.
