Happy 2nd Birthday to MusicEdMagic

Happy Birthday MusicEdMagic!

Thanksgiving marks the second anniversary of the birth of MusicEdMagic.com. What started out as a personal project to better myself as a music educator has turned into a personal obsession that greets over 1000 unique visitors each day! I have added some new features this week to the web site, so please feel free to let me know what you think of them!

If you had visited the site way back then you would not have recognized it. In fact, MusicEdMagic started even earlier as a travel oriented web site called TeacherTravelGuide.com. I started it to post articles on group travel and information that I had learned over many years of planning, organizing, and contracting out my school band trips without the help of a travel agent. These old travel articles are still archived here in the Educational Articles section, in the Travel category. Take a look if you are planning a trip this year. You never know if they might be of use to you until you read them!

By popular request I have added a new comment system to the articles and blog posts here on MusicEdMagic. Now you can comment on an article by clicking the link at the bottom of the page. You will have to be registered and logged in to the site to leave a comment. Sorry for the hassle of registering, but without it too many spammers take advantage of the comments area to post junk ads for Viagra and other unwanted items. On every page of the site you will now find a log in box where you can also find a registration link. Registration is quick and free, plus for those of you that are not already subscribers to the newsletter you can subscribe at the same time you register.

I have also added some other new features to the site, first among them is a related articles list at the bottom of each article. This list searches through the hundreds of articles at MusicEdMagic and displays those that have matching keywords.
