Are you an amateur or professional guitarist who is looking to advance your playing but do not want to spend weeks, or months, and thousands of dollars to do so? If this is the case, the Interlochen Guitar Festival and Workshop may be just what you have been looking for. The workshop is only three days long, very affordable, and offers the opportunity for participants to study with some of the best jazz, classical, finger-style, blues and rock guitarists in the country.
Overview of the Interlochen Guitar Festival Workshop
The 2009 Interlochen Guitar Festival Workshop is hosted by classical guitar instructor John Wunsch will be held at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan from August 20-22nd. Workshop participants will spend three days studying with some of their favorite guitarists as well as performing in ensembles made up of amateur and professional guitarists from all over North America.
Workshop participants can sign up for classical, flamenco, rock and blues ensembles as well as master classes and clinics within the classical, rock, blues or jazz idioms. Class sizes are small compared to other camps, which allows participants to gain the most of their time spent with each instructor.
Aside from the courses and ensembles being offered students will be able to attend nightly concerts featuring the workshops instructors.
