Practice Effectively

Remember that shorter, more frequent practice sessions are essential.  Practice for 30 minutes to an hour each day rather than 2-3 hours on one day.  Regardless of what muscles are needed to play your instrument, it takes time to build their endurance up to the point that you can play a high intensity thirty minute show without sacrificing tone quality and accuracy.  Shorter practice sessions help build and strengthen muscles over time in ways that a 2-3 hour cramming session cannot.
