Have you heard the story of Julie Amero? She was the Conneticut school teacher who was charged with four counts of endangering minors because of highly inappropriate images that started popping up on her computer screen during class.
She claimed they were not hers, and it appears that in the end they were the result of malware getting installed on her computer coupled with laxed network security at the school. The story finally played out to its conclusion recently when she was exonerated of most charges yet forced to plead guilty to a misdemeanor (far less than the potentially 40 year jail term she had faced). Robert Cringley has written several excellent articles on the Julie Amero saga and how it has progressed over the last four years. The story bears reading for any school teacher regardless of discipline. To make a point, be careful what you do on your computer at school!
