Chad Criswell is a nineteen year veteran music educator, serving currently as a band director for Southeast Polk Community Schools. He has taught all levels of music instruction, including nine years teaching high school band before venturing into the land of elementary instrumental music. He is a well respected resource person for many teachers, with his articles being published in such periodicals as School Band and Orchestra Magazine and The Mississippi Bandmaster. He has also been the educational technology writer for NAfME's Teaching Music Magazine for the last seven years.
While his passions focus on instrumental music he is also a very vocal advocate of educational technology issues, having earned his Master's degree in educational technology from the University of Northern Iowa. He is a regular presenter on various music technology related topics at regional and national conferences including the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago and the National Music Education Week Conference.
